About Us Training, Inc.’s mission is to equip people to become self-sufficient. Founded in 1981, we have served thousands of disadvantaged women and men by providing them with marketable skills and entrée to a viable career path. Training, Inc. graduates are equipped with both the hard skills and life management skills necessary to get and keep a good job. Our Career Track program will celebrate its 25th anniversary in May 2006. In that time, it has prepared more than 4,000 people to work successfully in any office environment. We have three specialty tracks to serve individuals:
Each specialty track includes an internship, job search assistance, case management, and at least one year of job retention assistance. The goals of Training, Inc. include serving the end-user of our product, the business community. Over the years we have worked very closely with business professionals on continuous improvement of our program. Our business-based research indicates that well-equipped entry-level candidates will be one of the highest workforce needs over the next ten years, and Training, Inc. programs will help fill that need. Training, Inc. programs serve job seekers and employers in other cities, including Boston, Chicago, Manchester (NH), Newark, Pittsburgh, and Tampa. The Training, Inc. National Association supports quality workforce development practices within the Training, Inc. affiliate network and with other interested organizations.
